Hi diyer here also 1st post gulp 8 i ve lived in my house for 30 years we have always had a 100mm pull cord type extractor fan in the bathroom. Now you need to turn the power back on and try the extractor fan out. This must be more than just switching off the mcb in the fuse box. Extractor fans with an integral timer or timed switch need a 3 core and earth supply to allow the unit to run on after a light is switched off.
